Cllr Shaukat Ali Khan and Cllr Zaker Choudhry discuss road safety improvements in Bordesley Green

Local Lib Dem Councillor Shaukat Ali Khan is welcoming £2.5 million of road safety work in Bordesley Green. The work is taking place in the Coventry Road and Green Lane areas.

New pedestrian crossings, better street lighting and signs, cycle lanes and speed humps are all included in the work.

Road safety sessions on cycling and walking for children and young people are also included.

Cllr Khan said "There have been many accidents, including people with serious injuries in these areas in the last few years. This work will make a real difference and increase safety on local roads."
